Hi guys , its me again ... I just got a TD9 Roland v- drums and wanna record the drums on stereo tracks plus my friend on guitar at the same time .... can I plug both instruments and get them record together ??? How ??? Can I just plug the guitar plug on the machine and a stereo plug for drums or the only way is using the XLR inputs ???

mark my time....

first dude, read manuals if not on paper, surely PDF on the net.
learn your gear!!!!

as for your question, plug the left output of your v drums into the 1/4" input (above the XLR) of oh say channel 1 and the right into channel 2....do NOT run a STEREO signal into a MONO input...if ya do, you'll only get the left side.....do your v-drums have discrete Left and Right outputs? if so use those....just don't plug your headphone output into your 1600's input.

Ok ... about the drums on BR 1600 I read all I could and looked for answers all over the net ... when I ask you guys about advice thats 'cause I can't find a way myself (and thats why we are here , isn't ???)
I got my stuff running and no problem ... the guitar or bass you can plug in the front (a special input for guitar or bass) or in the channel 1 (same kind of input for guitar or bass) , for the TD9 you need a cable with left and right plugs , and you better using the tracks 9/10 (those are the tracks for stereo recording) ... find a amp model and effect for the guitar/bass and select to record ... find a good eq/effects (if you need) on 9/10 and after that the process should be the same of recording one instrument ... just don't forget to select tracks 1 , 9/10 before you hit REC. By the way to select the tracks 9 and 10 you use only one comand because those two tracks running together to make the stereo track.
I'm getting better and better and start to understand my machine ... but I'm not even close to know all about it ....
But if I can help any other BR1600 user I'll with pleasure.
THANK YOU HRC for the suport and pacience with this "begginer" here !!!

PS: I'm from Brazil and sometimes the technical terms of manuals are a little confusing for me ... as you see my english is far from good and I've been doing recordings for about 10 hours ...
So I need your experience to gude me on the right path.
