Help buying monitors

I guess this topic comes up quite often, but I could really use some help. I've been doing home recording for about a year now and think it's a bout time I got some monitors. I can only spend about £300. The main problem is that there are no shops that sell this sort of gear in my area so I'm not able to actually go out and compare different sets of monitors, so I wanted to see if anyone can recommend a good pair of monitors that I can get for under £300.

Thanks.

I'm using M1Active 320 USB because I was on a budget, but when I get some more $, I'll probably go with something like Mackie MR8 ( pro-audio.musiciansfriend...2010?sku=485386 ). What's that, around £320? You can probably find a deal.

I'm interested in what others have to say because like I said, I'm also looking for some new ones.

I've liked my Samson Resolv's

For the price, not bad.

I'm using Yorkville YSM1P-II and they have been great. Not sure how easy they are to get outside of Canada but they are worth listening to.

Thanks for suggestions guys, I'll have a proper look online at the monitors you've suggested a little later when I've got a bit more time. I spent a while yesterday reading reviews for various monitors and found that the Yamaha HS50M and KRK RP 8 G2 both get really good reviews and are in my price range, anyone have any experience with either of these?
