Hi all,
Wasn't really sure where to post this, bit any help would be greatly appreciated.
I use a UX2, which I love more than life itself, I think it's an amazing, wonderful piece of kit.
However, I am yet to fully grow up/mature, and have recently (slightly belatedly, I admit) got into Battlefield 2 online. I'd like to play with friends, using microphones and headphones to talk to each other whilst playing. I was wondering how the UX2 handles the mic input. I'd like to use a standard, small-jack microphone (probably will use an old headset with mic I have somewhere). My question is, can I use the UX2 to plug such a thing into? If so, how?
Sorry it's such a noob question - you can imagine the level at which I record at! I just would rather not have to go back to using the computer's onboard soundcard...
Many thanks for any help,
ElJ

Aug 03, 2010 07:41 am hey man, im no expert on this kinda stuff, but i cant see why you cant use your UX2 as the soundcard while gaming. I could be wrong.
Just try changing your compys soundcard for the ux2 in "sounds and audio devices" I think thats the way to go.
Im a Mac user so dont quote me on this.
the headphone thing, just get a reducer so you can plug into the UX2.
you can buy a big to small, so your small jack will plug inside the big reducer. Kinda like a sheath type thing.

Aug 03, 2010 10:39 am U could use a bunch of head changers probably to use a headset with a mic but i think it would be a hassle, if u already have an onboard soundcard just switch back n forth, its not a huge effort i think.
somethings just dont mix...

Aug 05, 2010 02:34 pm I actually use my Tascam US-144 as a soundcard for my computer period.
All you have to do is set Windows to use the UX2 as the primary soundcard and block your stock soundcard.
Then plug and play. Or so that's what I've done with my unit.
And for the microphone input, you should have a line input (TRS) you can put a 1/8" to 1/4" adapter into. The adapters are only 1.99$ at radio shack last I checked.
