Hello everyone, newbie here! just got a PC up together for some recording. want to use it more as a canvas for ideas really but having trouble understanding how to get started here. i may be completley computer illiterate and not even know it. i have been a musician for a long time but have had no real experience with recording and its extensive terminology even having quite a bit of experience in the studio. want to import drum samples etc. record guitar and bass over top and just do some basic songwriting. been wanting to write for years and now i can (or can't as the case may be). any help or assistance would be greatly appreciated guys and gals! cheers,
owen

We will be glad to help you out, but first, read some of the articles that sound like they pertain to you and lets go from there.
