nl 4 nl 2 connections

i meant cables, nl4 and nl2 cables. whats the difference, can they be used interchangeably in some situations. lets say i am just hooking a powered mixer to a passive speaker box or a bass head to a bass cab.

NL2 is only two wires. So, it can only be used for passive speakers

NL4 is four wires. So, it can be used for passive, or bi amp speakers.

the connectors are the same size. So, there is no difference there. The only difference is the number of wires that it carries.

I would stay away from NL2. It makes no sense. The NL4, since it can be used for both bi amp or passive speakers is the way to go.
