Sonar 3 'Cakewalk Projects' folder relocation

Hi, I'm not too savvy with Sonar 3, and I've run into a problem. if this is in the manual I apologize. All I want to do is change where Sonar 3 saves and loads my Cakewalk Projects data, to another hard drive in my PC. My main hard drive went out a few weeks ago and I don't have money for a new one, so I'm using an older 37G raptor I had lying around. I obviously don't have the room on this drive for recording extensive projects, so all I want to do is make Sonar 3 save this data to my large backup drive in my PC, and so that when I save and load, it pulls from that folder without making me search for missing audio files. If anybody knows how to do this, much appreciated. Thanks.

I'm not sure on Sonar 3. I didn't start using Sonar till v6 and I'm not sure v3 uses the same method. If v3 uses per project directory's you should find the default shown under Options->Global->Folders. There you can set where Sonar looks for your project files. Move your project directory to the new drive and use that path in the Folders Options. You can set Per Project Folders if you're not already using them under Options->Global->Audio Data and projects will be created under the Global Folder with a new folder using the name of the Project.

Hey olddog, thanks for the reply. That worked. I'm not sure why I never hit Global in the drop down menu. It was clearly in there and easy to use. Thanks again for the heads up!
