Just the other day i brought a Lexicon U22 with a basic microphone and installed cubase 5 onto my computer.
The problem is that when i listen to the track on my headphones it just playing on one side and also when i record the track it also playing back on one side.
Ive tried to play about with the VST connection but i haven't been successful to configure it correctly
Can someone explain step by step how to fix this problem if possible.

Feb 01, 2010 11:28 am Because you are recording in Mono. Check one of the following:
Your Mixer/preamp and see if it's a "pan" button or something.
Check your cubase if it's set to Mono and not Stereo.
Feb 01, 2010 12:46 pm To clarify - You're trying to record a MONO SOURCE in STEREO.
Don't do that = No problem.
You WANT your input set to mono with a mono input. That's how the system is designed to work.
Feb 01, 2010 02:24 pm I've try that MassiveMaster
If you could like break it down in some simple steps i could follow becuase im a newbie to all this.

Feb 01, 2010 07:13 pm I'm sure the manual has something about creating a mono track.
To receive your signal, create a mono track to send the signal to. Stereo is created after you mix and export/render.

Feb 01, 2010 07:40 pm make sure you change the (its next to your track window) stereo out left, to mono out.

Feb 01, 2010 07:48 pm sorry i mean to stereo out.
if you dont have that option there then you havent set things up properly yet in vst connections.
go to "device menu" in cubase tool bar.
vst connections> set up a new bus> mono bus> route it to desired input on lexicon> setup mono in/ stereo out (in yer track window.
you can see it mid top left of this pic.
currently its says all midi inputs etc.
you gotta change those by clicking on em so they say mono in (top line) stereo out (bottom line).
