Right so, i'm using a yamaha keyboard. It has a standard USB output on the back, like the sort you see on printers and such, an almost square hole.
Well my keyboards driver just suddenly stopped being recognized by every program, and when i got to the control pannel and click "Yamaha USB-MIDI" driver, it says it is not connected. If i go to sounds and audio devices, it doesn't even mention my yamaha.
One more thing, i suppose this wasn't totally out of the blue. I installed the drivers for a printer i had laying around. After they installed it asked to connect the device. I didn't have a spare usb cable so i just unplugged the yamaha. The keyboard was still turned on, and i unplugged it on the device end, leaving the computer end plugged in. When i connected the printer, i found it peculiar that it didn't notice i connected it. However i just finished the installation and shrugged my shoulders until i reconnect the keyboard and instantly got pissed off >:O
So, you know that thing that says "click to safely remove device"? Ya... i never do that anymore. Is there a reason they tell you that? did i possibly fry the cable or something? Ugh i hope not.
Btw, i restarted my PC a good 3 or 4 times.
Let me know of your input guys. Thanks.
