I have recorded 2 tracks with Music Creator 5 from Cakewalk. 1 midi track with piano. The second track is vocals. When listening to the tracks in Music Creator the balance sounds fine the effects on the vocals sounds good as well, however when burning the CD there are no effects and the vocals blast out the piano. You can barely hear the piano. What could be the issue here? I am using the tracks for my band mate to be able to learn the harmony so it essence these are rough tracks. Any help will be greatly appreciated. Thanks

have you exported your mix to a stereo wave file? Then burned the wav file?

When you open the export dialogue you need to make sure and check all the boxes which includes the export effects and so on box. This will apply all the effects to the exported wav file.

Also, make sure you slick automation as well if there is any, such as turning down the vocal track during mixing.
