Hello,

Can anyone recommend a firewire card with a TI chipset for a good price?

I've been having some troubles with my m-audio projectmix and m-audio has told me that it is probably because i am using my onboard firewire and not a dedicated firewire card with TI chipset. Ive read all over their site and they never recommend where to get this card from. Im not even sure who makes them....is the brand TI....is it another brand but with TI parts....im confused.

Im running Vista 64 and im not really sure what card to get. Ive found a few but the prices range from $15 to $130

????

One thing that I can clear up for you here is what TI stands for.

TI stands for Texas Instruments. Which are one of the largest manufactures of Integrated Circuits chips in the world.

As to which of the many products out there use TI chips. I don't know. But, I'm sure someone will be along soon to help.

Thanks...that one looks like it might work. I new that ti was texas instruments but it seems that none of the cards are made by TI but have Ti parts in them...Thats why i was confused.

It doesnt look like you can purchase from this site though.
