A'wight all. I posted a song ages ago but the mix was ****. based on what you lot said then, I've remixed it. Its still and odd structured song though.

Apr 30, 2009 05:54 am Thanks guys. All good stuff. I'm finally happy with that song now and I can put it on the back burner with the other ones that need vocals at some point.
I know what you mean about the snare (and the overbearing hi-hat in the punky bit) but I mixed the whole kit into a single track. I've added a bit of reverb etc to try and liven it but I'm stuck with the levels of the kit now.

Yep, I do believe I recall this as well myself. I liked the odd chord structure and found it very interesting sounding. Gave the piece some real dark feel without being overly dark. I could listen to another 3 or 4 minutes of it if you could keep the leads moving about like they do for the rest of it.
Listening here it sounds pretty well finished really.
May 01, 2009 02:26 am Cheers Noize. If I had vocals on there it would be easier to stretch it out longer. On the flipside of course having it compressed with lots of breaks and lead in it means that when I find a decent singer (or learn to sing myself - scarey thought) I don't have to write as many lyrics!
Feeling good about music at the moment, I recon I'll get another song together pretty quick now.
