is there such a thing?? i.e could you somehow rig an analogue mixer/preamp etc to, say a laptop?
to get a more "dated" sound i was considering looking into some older analogue gear and hooking it to my laptop. maybe a stupid idea.

Apr 26, 2009 09:49 pm you can rig an analogue desk to a compy, just thru an interface.(im sure you know this anyway)
whether going into the compy via the interface changes the wave, im not real sure to be honest.
but im guessing it would sound more analogue then just straight into the inerface.

Every single digital recording made is pretty much just that. Nothing at all unusual there in the least.
