I ran across this site a while back and stuck it on my favorites list. Lots of pictures and interesting info on vintage mics.
Enjoy.

Jan 21, 2009 04:17 pm Hold on now. I'm still using some of these mic's. I don't think that a 391, or a 451, or even a 414 is all that vintage.
It's not like a Beyer M 300, or a Sennheisser 409. Or even a U-47. Now the C-12. That's old. Did they have the original E 112? I didn't see it on the list.
Jan 21, 2009 05:45 pm Not all of them are vintage or unusual; you have to browse around.
Got one of these?

I especially enjoy looking at those old RCAs. They're just...sexy.
Jan 22, 2009 10:56 am No, that's one that we don't have. We do have a Shure VP88. Same concept.
I have to agree about the old RCA's. The 44 was a great looking mic.

Jan 22, 2009 09:08 pm Yes, RCA is sexy.
Alan Freed rocks!
And how on earth could he sin so badly as to not have any Telefunken???
That in itself is horrible.
No VP88 here but an SM33, 1969 I do believe. The sound is an acquired taste.
