anyone got any ideas about this, before i get my baseball bat and....well you know.

im using automation, or f****** trying to at least, basicly its just doing whatever it friggin wants. i write in some automation and sometimes it rememebers it other times it doesnt and then it does dumb **** like turn on the mute button in some spot i just turned it off on.

i realize doing multiple takes of automation in the one spot can get confusing, but confused i aint.

does having a low latencey setting have anything to do with it??? wouldnt have thought so.
even sometimes if i have the vol turned down on a track and waiting for an automated fade in, the bloody track is audible while the fader is right down. anger is the word.

some feed back would be great thanks.

even if i delete all parameters in automation, for some reason when i push the read button, the friggin mute button comes on in two tracks in spots i dint want them to start with. i cant figure out how to get rid of it.

so leave the read button off? thats fine but when i go to re-do the automation for those tracks its just gonna do it again when i push read.
i've tried all settings including overwrite and tried writting straight over it again but that doesnt work either.

so basicly now ive got it to just this mute button problem i cant figure out.

Ya, I'm afraid I won't be much help in Cubase at all. I have not run across that problem before at all in Sonar.

This might be a dumb question, but have you tried a right click on the automation point to see if it allows a simple delete?

Otherwise I know in Sonar I can go to the Event List and edit each and every detail. See if yo have that kind of view or editing capability.

In Cubase you go to Browser under Project then you can view and edit each detail. Each track will be listed and you can click on automation to view the details. I'm not that good at drawing in my automation so I end up going in there to set it exactly how I want it.

yeah Noize i deleted all automation parameters. There's an action for just that so i used it.

and RS yeah ive done that and there's nothing there at all since i deleted the automation parameters.

so you can see my frustration, i cant even find the reason why its doing it.
its not written anywhere. its not recorded anywhere, maybe a glitch? maybe a baseball bat?

man, its annoying, went to cubase.net and posted, but the chances of getting a reply are about 1%.

im not so mad today, so i will have another look. might be the fact that its too bloody hot here to do much else than breathe. its 43 deg. today.
its ridiculous.

That is weird. I don't know, maybe you should have your machine exorcised. Your probably summoning up demons with all that metal your rockin out to.

I had to do my calculations. So that is 109 deg. Farenheit. It gets that hot from time to time in Texas; that certainly does suck. I don't like to go outdoors in that kind of heat.

yeah i was welding on site outside fixing someones dodgey work. my lips are totally fried as it was quite windy too.

i heard Texas gets hell toasty.
i remember reading a one of many articles about Ronnie Coleman a body builder from there and how he would train in this gym with no aircon or anything, in ridiculous heat.

cheers for the previous info it made me go back and look harder, before i was looking under automation, but not under the actual track automation in the browser. well i found the annoyance right there...."of course it was", i hear you say. so cheers for that.

now i gotta do it all again, dunno what made it go nutso in the firs place though.

Just a bit off topic.

Its been below 0 degree's F here for that last few days. I went to work yesterday and today to about 24 below 0 F.

Anyway, on topic again. I am wondering if you simply export each track and then open a new project and simply load them back into the new project and try that.

i was thinking that too noize or something similar, i was just going to grab the tracks and chuck em on new empty tracks and delete the old.

i got it sussed now though, thanks for the help.

well just before i go, if it does keep happening when i do re write the automation then i guess i wil have to open a new project and do what you suggested there Noize. would be the safest way.

Ya, probly. I cannot figure out why it would be keeping it hidden though. I wonder if there is a setting in there somewhere. but it should still show up in the edit menu.
