replacement crossover

I have a set of crate ps115hp speakers and one is barely audiable and is muffled. I am looking to replace the crossover and have little luck on the web trying to find a suitable replacement. (125 w continuous). Could anyone suggest a company or site that i may visit to get a replacement or even a fix short of buying a complete crossover. Would a faulty capacitor cause this problem? Thanks.

Have you tried looking at the one that is in the other one? If they aren't the same one, maybe you could find a second of that one.

I know there are a few things here in the net that tell you how to build your own if you are handy enough to do so. THey aren't hard at all.

Have a look here, they have a couple high watt units.

This will probably have the better selection as they deal more towards pre level gear. I've used them before and had good luck.

Are sure that it's the crossover?

Sounds like you may have a horn out. A crossover usually is pretty bullet prof.

If something does fail, it usually have to do with the resistors on the card. The resistors are in parallel with the horn. If they fail, they still pass signal.

Take a look at you horn. Make sure that it is still there.
