NFL Week 7

I needed to start this thread if only to brag about the fact that I just returned from a pilgrimage to the Holy Land. There's nothing better than sitting among 70,000 plus people at historic Lambeau Field, especially when you get to watch the Packers stick it to a team like they stuck it to the Colts today.

I'm not a big fan of live football. I'd rather watch it on TV. But I was lucky enough to get four freebies to today's game, so I went to the game with my three sons. For two of them, it was their first time at a Packer game in Lambeau.

It's what memories are made of.

Elsewhere around the league...a real defensive battle down there in Chicago, eh?

My FF team really sucked this week. Favre is gonna have negative points.

Vikings looked horrible, special teams is just sucky...Dallas and Indie are both ailing badly...overall, boring day of footbal for most anyone but Packer fans, and that WAS a fun game to watch for just a good old fashion ***-kickin.

Answer:On a good day, lipstick.

The Dallas/Rams game was taken off the TV due to it "not being a competitive game."
Never seen a team given the mercy rule by the networks!

Yep, lunch with the wife during the Vikes game. And yes, the sucked suckier then I've seen them suck in a long time.

None more sucky if you ask me!

On the brighter side, it looks as though I'll have another win in FF this week. I don't think that zek would have won even if he had not missed changing his D out as they had a bye week. ow I just have to sit patiently to find out were I end up this week.

But yes Jim, that was the only redeeming football game on this weekend. The rest were not worth the electricity to run the TV.

how is 'grandpa?' doing?

i haven't done anything with the team.

i don't know what it is, but football season barely feels like it's begun for me. might be lack of weather cues out here. i didn't have a 'fall trip' this year.

Well for not doing anything Grandpa is not doing to badly in 4th place.

This is actually the first year I have had time to spend swapping players out and such. And actually pay attention and check out the stats further then I have in past years.

Football is just not really holding my interest this year...Vikings suck, but I'm used to that, the whole league just seems weird, the games are not competitive, and it's just sorta...I dunno, boring for some reason. It's hard for me to sit around and watch Sundays, which is weird...

This Sunday I watched a little, went to a Lodge pancake breakfast, went to the park with the kids, did some work, napped...watching football just doesn't feel the same.

dB, I've felt that way for a few years now. I just have too much better stuff to do than to sit around all day and watch football. My boys are older, two of them away at college and the other one in high school and constantly on the go. We used to have a great time watching football together. It's no fun sitting around watching a game by yourself.

I've been that way for awhile now as well.

Partially because I am busy in the studio, or simply have too many fire burning at once and just don't have time for it. The only real TV watching I get to do now is watching maybe a Formula One race, and only because they are on at 2am or something odd like that and my ears are burnt out or something odd.

That or as you stated Jim, I'm off carting the last kid around for one thing or another.
