UFC this weekend

Man, the Target Center in MN had some awesome fights this weekend, one of the best cards I've seen in ages. I do have to say though, Brock Lesnar really disappointed me.

He could have submitted his opponent at will from the first seconds, within a couple seconds he hit the guy so hard he stumbled backwards into a sommersault and from there it was like a cat playing with a wounded mouse. He made it last all three rounds, beat the guy and mocked him at the end of the fight.

Very tacky, very disappointing...

He's had 3 UFC fights, a record of 2 and 1, I suspect some other heavy weight is going to want to make him eat a fat slice of humble pie.

That was a great card. Some of the fights were one sided but very entertaining nonetheless. The first fight they showed was awesome!

Regarding the Lesnar fight, I really expected Brock to get beat up. I was surprised how well he did. He doesn't have a lot of experience so I doubt that he really knows how to submit anybody. He's a monster though, so I guess that makes up for a lot.

I do agree that was tacky at the end though.

Yep, they were kind of dissing him a little on the radio this morning. He deserved is though for sure.

I am certain that as dB and I talked about last night he will get his come uppance once he goes against someone with more stamina and the same kind of power.

Ummmm, he was an NCAA champion wrestler and he trains with Royce Gracie in Brazilian JiuJitsu for the last couple years, so, yeah, he knows very well how to submit someone, I think he was putting on a show for the home town crowd.

You are right, that first fight with MacDonald was awesome, the first round of that fight was the ultimate grappling chess match I have seen in ages! I like MacDonaold too, I was hopin he'd pull it off.

As far as Lesnar goes, yeah, Noize, we did talk about that. I wanna see him up against Kongo, Silvia, Fedor or somebody like that. I am not sure Silvia could really do much with him, but Kongo or Fedor would make a good fight.

He trains at a gym in my area, and word is that Brock is so big and so strong he really can't be submitted by choke or armbar, just not physically possible.

Sable, his wife, sure has had some plastic surgery gone awry...man, what ever happened to aging gracefully, sheesh.

That was the first 10 seconds of the fight, the first punch thrown...Herring never really recovered.

Sable, ya I don't know what happened to her in such a short period of time. Age, as short has her's is has not been kind to her at all. from the few recent photo's I have seen of her.

Yeah, I'd like to see him fight Kongo or Gonzaga next. Maybe Cro Cop, but I think he could probably handle Cro Cop as long as he came forward and neutralized those kicks.

On a side note, I thought it was awesome that Fitch came out to Johnny Cash's version of Rusty Cage. That song rocks.
