SBLive and ADAT?

i read somewhere that Adat protocol uses '8x interleave mode' and the optical i/o on my soundblaster live can only do 2x. does anyone have any experience with this?

basically i'm looking for an affordable adat card with light pipe to transfer all 8 adat tracks from tape onto my hard drive and thought i might getway with using my SBLive. can someone point me in the right direction? or give me a deal on an adat card?

You're basically on the right track, you just need to find an ADAT LitePipe interface card which will allow the transfer, hold on - I'll just have a quick look for you.
