Been away at Uni for a while, but finally got back to my studio to start recording some of the stuff I wrote while missing lectures!
I even managed to get my 17 yr old sister helping with the vocals (definately worth it). Its caled 'Stay'. Its in my profile (I don't know how to put one of those round buttons here I'm afraid!)
A bit rough around the edges but have a listen and let me know what you think. All criticism welcome!

Mar 25, 2008 06:55 pm Well done n1ck! Vocals sound great. I love the harmonies. The only thing I noticed is the volume of the track needs some levelling or possibly some compression to even it out a bit. I had to crank it quite a bit. I like the dynamic range but it was a bit too drastic. It seems like you have some headroom to work with so maybe some track automation might take care of it. Well done though, comes across as if it was sung from the heart.

yeah tis a bit quiet, only finished recording it about 20 mins ago, haven't done a thing to it mastering-wise, i'll get round to it tomorrow.

Harmonies get a bit funky at times, but feels very authentic.
