Do I need a separate CD recorder?

I've finished making some songs from Sonar. And now I have several Wave files.

I want to burn it in a CD and for mass production. However, should I use any separate CD recorder, or just normal IDE CD Writer is OK? Any special software, or just normal "Nero" type?
