Howdy all. I just bought some new Peavey SP2's and I am running them with my PV118 Subwoofers. As far as I can tell, the SP2's are completely kicking the PV118's butts when it comes to producing low end. Does this make sense?? Do I have my Drive Rack PA X-over set bad?? I am wondering if I would just be better off running my SP2's in Full Range and forget about the X-over Bi-Amping all together? Or maybe just look into Biamping the SP2's without the PV118's??

No, you simply need to work on the set up a little. The SP2' will work well for the low mid and up but the 118 will cover the very bottom end much better. It is a matter of getting the power to the 118's so they can fill that void.

Your top box is rated at 131 dB, and the sub is rated at 118 dB. That's a pretty big difference. Either you need another sub per side, or, you need to turn down the top box.
