I picked up one of those Crate Flexgave halfstacks . I think this is the 'ONE' . Every combo I've ever known has been used, so as you can guess I am totally stoked about it . The selling point was Crates 'Cascading Gain Technology', or whatever they call it . This thing gets crazy-tube warmpth on the clean channel, and delivers that classic Crate-crunch on the overdrive . The third channel has the gain staging needed for that total-metal tone . I am amazed how much this thing acts like a all-tube amplifier . So, tubey-sound without the tubey-fuss... sold !

ahhhh gotta love new gear!

i'm really liking this Kustom HV65 we have here in the store....on clean channels it hold it's own right next to the mesa's.....the distortion however sucks....i'd land me one if they had better distortion....the eq on these things are totaly strange....it does this inversally proportional thing when cutting and boosting...say you roll the trebble down, it seems the low mids get boosted....very hard to describe.

That's sounds like a sweet amp, Chris . This has been such a crazy year... I'm hoping to be able to make it down for a visit sometime soon... way over due for a rOadd trip, bud .

Hell yeah ! Got to apply it's sonic-tastyness to a practice-jam tonight . Some of the reviewers of the amp in various online stores attest to it being slightly under-powered for what you would consider a 4x12 to be capeable of, and this is somewhat true, BUT it is quite loud enought for me . Best part was not having the phase-cancelation issues that I thought the new frequencies would bring upon the bass . Didn't happen . : )
