Well I had some free time today. So I went out and started playin with some midi synth stuff and this was born. Has a "Dio" feel to it. After I started messing I said hell, its sort of like Holy Diver !! I should have just covered it. Oh well, at least I got to play a little today. Let me know how the mix sounds. Link below

"My arthritus makes me mean !"
"Jus' wait 'til my viagra kicks in !"
...

Wow, nice sound on the guitars, the synth stuff is cool as well. I think the mix sounds great myself. Add some vocals and your all set. :)

"Old" guy metal.

Thanks! Making me feel arthritic...

Tell the singer to kneel down and sing about Wizards and elves and give devil signs...

More drawbar stuff (B3), and you've got some classic Rainbow there.

"High noon, you know I'd sell my soul for water...."

It needs alot of changes. The drums were a boring loop. I did add cymbals (except hi-hat) and I added the toms at the end. I like to play a loop and just noodle about. I hate click tracks and when I discovered my software had loops I was in heaven. But once I get the final guitar work done, I will add real drums to it. They wont be so boring, but they will stink :) The Bass was Di'd and the guitars were a combination of three mics. Two on the cab and one room. I took out the mids on the amp to get that 80's vibe. Maybe when its done (a few weeks) some one can put some vocals to it. And proper lead work. Im not a very good lead player. Though I plan on learning some scales and such in my spare time. Thanks again for the listen.

Pretty cool for sure. It started out almost feeling a bit Tangerine Dream like, then went all Dio on steroids on me. I liked it indeed. And ya the guitars sound pretty cool for sure. I actually kind of liked the lead stuff you had going there in bits of it.

TC, I can hear the B3 just screaming during that for sure.

Thanks. Im gonna try the 3 mics on the guitar again but with the mids up alot. I need to experiment a little and remember to write it down and take pictures of the setups. At my age you do something that sounds cool and once you move it around, you cant remember the original settings. Stinks.

Got rid of the drum loop and replaced with my sorry butt playing them. There is a couple of spots where Im off. I try. Anyway, let me know how the bass drum is. I used a different eq and compressor than I usually do. The snare and toms also a different one then usual. I sort of like the way it sounds, but other opinions help. My ears are tired, so I might be way off. Thanks

Sounds really good Bushmaster, I think the drums sound great. At times the snare though seems like it has a bit too much hi freq, then others it doesn't so probably just my old ears. :)

Nice playing on the lead, the guitars still sound killer good job!

I didnt compress the snare as much as usual, so there may be some difference hear or there. It might be the 128 mp3 too. I'll check it out. My ears are tired so Im useless. :) Thanks for the response.

I still like it, good sign!

I agree with OD here on the snare. Maybe use a pluggin compy to help it out a tiny bit. Otherwise pretty killer for sure. The new drums fit better then the loop. Gives it that little bit it needed to be a bit more on the heavy side. Loved the guitars as well, nicely done for sure.
