I hope this thread is absolutey usless, however here's the story.
Installed Pinnacle Studio Version seven software on Computer used for recording. It would not function properly because of the video card I had. I tried using the DirectX enhancer provided with Studio. I don't know when the problem was introduced, however the next time I tried OXONE it was a mess. Real chopy, like it was stopping and restarting. I tried to remove everything installed from Studio. I even tried installing DirectX 9 from Microslop. No evail! Had to rebuild entire computer software from scratch!
Wish I had more on hows and whys but no time for that. Just be carefull!

Feb 10, 2003 03:14 pm Well, Waltster, My Pinnacle gave me some static when first upgrading to Windows XP, Pinnacle was very slow on enbracing this new-fangled OS. Not as slow as ProTools was, but I digress :-)
Your profile does not say what OS you have so I can't say that is the problem, but it may be, also, make sure you have all the updates to your Studio app and your capture device...or your DV device.
One thing to remember is that capturing video and working with video is VERY intensive work for a PC, it makes audio editing look like childs play...so it is crucial you keep it updated and tuned.
I find it hard to lay it on Ozone, but ya never know...

Feb 10, 2003 03:19 pm I really don't place blame on Ozone. I look more to the Pinnicle software. It introduced something that made Ozone spaz out. I put Pinnicle back on my work computer where it works fine. I just have to transfer the audio files via network to use with Pinnacle. As far as Pinnacle not working, I am sure it is my video card. It is real simple and cheep.
