I'm flying into the south east corner of Queensland. (top right state)

It was 22c at 9am this morning here in Sydney.

What way to go out.

Oh and MERRY Christmas everyone, happy new year and all that.

I leave my Mod status to Herb if i don't make it.

I remember a joke about a guy who always took a bomb with him every time he flew, with the reasoning that the odds against two bombs being on one plane were astronomical...

It'll all be good Bleak. Those winds will all be gone by the time you get there. Good luck though just in case.

Have a safe trip.

The weather got worse when i got there.

In fact the airport was shut when we were due to leave. Got a flight the next day.

Not far from where i was a natural disaster has been declared!

Thats some muddy water there Bleak.

I feel your pain on the airport thing.

I was in the Keys when Katrina hit. We made it to Miami and the airport was shut down. 20 boyscouts and 6 adults. No way to leave and go to a hotel or anything trapped in the airport for over 48 hours. Cool part was the boyz helped out a couple of stranded mother with young ones which was cool. And the boyz also got to go outside and watch as the hurricane bashed through the airport. In a protected area of course. The building was pretty bashed up in the upper levels and even down on the lowest level we were on the water damage was leaking water and dropping ceiling tiles all around us. Nasty stuff that weather.

Glad you back in one piece though.

Always an adventure. Was on one charter that did an emergency ditch on some primarilary abandoned runway in Russia on the way to Kashakstan from Budipest in an ice storm. Kinda slid in a little sideways. Really tempted to join the Russian millitary. Two officers borded us to check us in and out. One real cute little blond in the most delightfull uniform. Short wool skirt. Very nice! Made it worth the stop.

Gulp.... Hehehehe....

Glad you made it through safely, Bleak.

My niece is currently studying environmental stuff for university in NZ (rescuing the Kiwi from something or other), but was going to Queensland for a
vacation.
I hope all is well with her.
