Heya all. Hopefully someone can help :x
Recently, I have found myself using the same or similar chord progressions and melodies and whatnot (especially a minor.. oi). Anyone have any good inspiration or progressions or note sequences or anything? I focus mainly around game music (orchestral).

I find myself there many times. I try to listen to as much different music as possible when I get in those situations. It seems to help me find a different approach to writing sometimes.
When doing game music I tended to watch video of similar games or the footage provided by the writers of the game I would be working on while listening to odd pieces of music.
Sometimes the best thing to do is walk away from it for a day or more and then come back with a clearer head.
Dec 23, 2007 03:24 pm Nice forty. I did walk away from making music for almost 10 years. It really did give my writing an entirely new feel.
