Just when you thought the diaphragm in your condenser was large enough...

And the one with the girl is priceless. That's probably happened more than once when cameras weren't rolling.

Holy **** is that bad! I thought I had seen some of the worst, but that has got to take the cake for sure!

I think they were afraid he was going to break something.

Awww man the guy in the studio took me back to the days of Root Boy Slim, I hope there are a few people that remember him.

Yep, bought their first album in 1978. Boogie till you Puke still rings in my head as does You broke my Mood Ring. He wrote some very satirical stuff for sure. And wasn't he the one who wrote Christmas at K-Mart? I think I still have at least 2 of his records in my collection.

I think I saw him with Little Feat once at a show somewhere down south. Kind of a southern boogie rock and blues mix. Got your feet stomping for sure.

I've seen the blonde thing before, but the dude, WOW. I cant even think that was a real session because of his distance from the mic half the time, but wow. If that was a real session, that's an engineers worst nightmare!! I almost pissed myself!

Root was a major part of the DC area music scene back then along with Go-Go making its change on the music scene. I saw him for the 1st time on the White House Ellipse of all places. Some of his stuff is out on CD now too. There is a bit of very interesting info about him on this link.

Yup, that could have been him in the studio clip in his day.

Video 1: Considering his 'style'... he really did nail it . I dun'no... I kind'a like this rendition . Doesn't take the place of the original, but it does have character... and it does appear that he meant every word he sang .

Video 2: Priceless !

Bluesdues, that was a nice piece you linked to. And ya, Go-Go was great as well. Different though. I am going to have to look for some RBS CD's then if you say they are in print. The boyz have never listened to him and I'd love to turn them onto his stuff.

And ya, I don't bring out that vinyl for anything.
