NEED HELP WITH TASCAM DP 1X

My name is Alex , im trying to hook up my buddy , he has a TASCAM DP 1FX.

And im trying to hook it up to the computer through the USB , so i can transfer The Data to the PC , so i can Burn it or just listen to whatever we just recorded , just wanna know how you make it work , and i already hooked it up through the USB and the PC recognized and its SAID: Unknown PORT or something ^^.....and i don't know if u need a DRIVER SOFTWARE or any software what so ever.
Basically to make it an Actual file on the PC .

Could anyone help me out ?

I scanned the manual and it looks like you should be able to do a mix down in the DP01 and then export it from there to the PC to burn. I believe the export command must be initialized from the DP01 itself, then the PC will pick it up into whatever folder you set it up for.

If I'm not mistaken you have to mix down into a certain folder on the DP01 in order for it to be exported properly to the PC.
