Sep 18, 2007 02:27 pm You would need (at least this is one option) a headphone amp. Behringer makes one for under $100 and I've been using it for a couple years without any problems.

Sep 18, 2007 02:28 pm so, the way i get it (sorry if im a bit slow, im quite new to this)
I have Output 1 + 2 from my soundcard, which goes via phono jack to xlr to both monitors...
If i put that headphone amplifier inbetween them so it goes Output 1+2 to headphone amp, then the amp can split the signal between headphones and monitors?
thanks

Sep 18, 2007 02:35 pm Yes, there are inputs and outputs on the back of the amp to handle your routing and then you use the front headphone jack for your phones.

Sep 18, 2007 03:58 pm on a 1010lt, you have 8 outputs you can use, no need to split from output 1 & 2, just use any other pair.
I have a samson HP amp, and I like it. I haven't used it much, but the little I have, it's been just like it's supposed to be.
I use my mixer, as a headphone source too. I send 2 channels back to my mixer, but either way works. The HP amp is nice if you have multiple sets of phones you want to drive. If you just have 1 set to push, then there's several ways to do it, mentioned above.
There's also the ART line of HP amps, they're smaller and probably cheaper, but I don't know how available they are in the UK.
Click on here, and type in headphone amp in the search box, and you'll get a list of available ones through a UK source.
