OKay i watch a video of Dave Must. Showing his gear. He has a guitar power amp and pre amps and all of this stuff.. What is the difference betwen that stuff and a amp head?

an amp head is a combination of a preamp, and a poweramp...

preamps get a weak signal (mic or instrument) up to 'line level' and sometimes have an eq section, compression maybe, and other effects for shaping tone.

poweramps push speakers with power and usually have one knob...volume
