Someone please help me get recording before I lose it. My Mac is recognizing the Audio Device USB Codec but Cubase refuses to acknowledge its existence. It is possible that I just don't know how to find it in Cubase. I am knew to home recording but I have ran Reason 3.0 with a midi keyboard on my MAC. Someone talk to me.

Jun 17, 2007 05:48 am in cubase, go to "devices > vst connections > the add your interfaces in's and out's...then save the preset (incase it flubs up).

Jun 17, 2007 05:29 pm Cubase Sx does not have VST connections it has VST Multitrack and VST System Link. Under the VST Multitrack it is recognizing the USB interface but when I try to select it I am asked if I want to switch ASIO drivers. If I say switch'm, it says ASIO cannot detect hardware...If I say keep the same
ASIO driver, it just does nothing and the Built-in Audio selection stays. Do I need to install an ASIO driver? Behringer has a free one for PC's but not for MACs.
Jun 24, 2007 10:52 am this drove me crazy too. my problem ended up being that i needed to uninstall sound agent. you may need to install the asio driver. i'm pretty sure i saw a couple for mac when i was looking for mine. the one from behringer is a few years old and not really by them....same as audacity, the "daw" they provide, which is also free source, but is still updated well, actually. it has no mixing options, however, so i got cubase. search for the driver on the net, if you haven't already, and make sure you're not using any other usb sound device, cause i think that confuses it as well. hope this is helpful.
peace.
