How do you guys render your projects in sonar when you'r done mixing your tracks?
Im new to sonar and the only way I know how so far is to select all and export, then sonar mixes down the tracks into an mp3 or whatever...

When I used acid it was even easier... just file, then render..

That's how I do it. Select all, then export.

Lex, Sonar is a much larger program aimed more at the professional. Thus it comes with many more choices. You can still do the simple file>export option and even set it to run a certain type file as a default such as mp3 or wav. The program is built to give you many options to use at your discretion. I suggest setting up whatever is comfortable for you to use and make that the default for no. You can always change it later.

And indeed, it gives you the options to export with or without automation, FX and so on. So dig into the manual a little bit and you'll figure out which is best for you. I have several different set up's so I can use a simple key combo to get what I need, mp3, wav, OMF whatever. But that is something you will have to read and learn to do as it would take me 2 or 3 pages to describe in detail here.

Cool, yeah I will dig into the help files and the know it all tutorial a little more.

I had a dream that I was in this studio with some guys and we just rocked some wicked blues. Then the engineer was being a dick about rendering out of pro tools as a OMF so I could mix it at home with sonar...

anyways...

Bounce to disk. And yeah, Digitranslator sucks... If I have to get other application files into Pro Tools or vice versa I just consolidate every track to the head of the session, and export the regions as files... But of course you don't get all the features of an OMF... But that gives me something to do on my down time, haha.
