TASCAM 388 Squeaks and Clicks..Need Advice!

Does anybody know about the tascam 388. I just got one..seems to be in great condition. I cleaned the heads with rubbing alcohol (70% i think, the higher alcohol of the two from walgreens)and I cleaned the rollers and rubber parts with tascam rubber cleaner. Used cue tips to dry everything. That was 3 weeks ago. Ever since it squeaks while it plays the tape. Is this normal for a while?
Also when I rewind or fast forward longer than 3 secs I can see the tape clicking against the take up reel,(the reels are plastic, no bends) like its not lined up straight..not a big deal bc everything sounds great, but just concerned about taper wear...
HELP!

The preferred lubricant is a none oil type lubricant. Simply apply it lightly to the spindle surfaces, not to the rollers themselves.
