I blew out my driveway three time yesterday, never with less than 5 inches of snow...we had probably 10-12 inches last weekend...many, I think we caught up from being so far behind in snowfall...

...the kids are lovin it though.

There's a dusting on the mountains here. I'm not happy.

I hate this stuff.

Got home from rehearsal last night around 12:30 and proceeded to shovel the driveway in the freezing rain.

I could use a nap right now.

We, too, have had a ton of snow in the past week. My boys and I run a shoveling "business" on the side (sidewalks and driveways and such). Needless to say, business has been great lately. It pays for our summer golf course membership! And with two days off from school, I've even managed to get some music related stuff done.

Looks like 40's next week...a HEAT wave!!

The pile of snow up next to my mailbox is about 4 feet tall now, I had to attack it with a shovel to break it down into short enough piles the my snow blower could handle it...I have some drifting about waist deep (I'm 6'4" or so). I haven't seen snow like this for a few years, on the whole Minnesota has had mild winters, this year included until about 7 days ago...

Reports are that my town had 17" of snow yesterday...which sounds about right to me. Nothing compared to the east cost that got over 5' in 24 hours from sea-effect snow storms...but still...lots of snow. It actually looks and feels like Minnesota for the first time in many years.

You're right. I grew up in Minnesota, and I can remember many winters when the snow fell waist-deep on Thanksgiving and it stayed that way until mid-March. This definately has been a good old-fashioned winter storm. My kids have been outside ALL DAY yesterday and today working on a mansion of a snow fort (accompanied by the obligatory snowball fight, followed by the youngest one coming in crying!)

Ya gotta love it...

haha i hate it when that kinda thing happens,

yo stand at the end of your driveway and your lookin up at it thinkin, "wow, ifs finally done" as your feelin the burn all the way through your back, then you proceed to walk into your house
next thingy you know you hear the snow plow comin and u turn a round....
and your friggin driveway is now plowed in AGAIN. so you gotta go do the end again...:(
XD its funny when u think back at it but when it happens ur sooooooooooo pissed lol

Supposed to get a tiny bit more I just heard. But ya, I'm liking it right now. Even though it meant a ton of shoveling it was great to see it pile up. The youngest and his buddies proceeded to build themselves some very large snow shelters.
