Ok, a friend of mine was able to give me a great website to fix the first problem. Now, I can hear sound through the headphones (no latency) and play back sound through the PC's speakers. I am very happy but now I get this msg after just a few seconds of recording that says Error: ASIO out of sync. How do I stop this from happening everytime I try to record! Please help.

Jan 01, 2007 03:28 pm One thing is to make sure your software is set to use the audio interface as its clock or sync. It should be in the options or preferences audio section.
But I have heard of the same as flame is stating. Cubase sometimes does not play nice with certain audio interfaces when set at higher sample rates.
Jan 01, 2007 03:44 pm How do I change the sample rate in Cubase? How do I set the software to use the audio interface as it's clock/sync?

Jan 01, 2007 04:03 pm Go to the Options, or Preferences/Audio tab or drop down menu and look for the settings there. you will find it all in that section.
Your manual should tell you exactly where to find each item.
I don't use Cubase or Cubase LE so I wont be much more help that that.
Jan 01, 2007 04:25 pm Sorry, I wasn't sure if it was better to reply to the original or post a new topic so I did both, happy new year and thanks for the help. I'm gonna contact Cubase once they are back in office to fix this problem cause it won't go away with changing the sample rate and I don't see a way to set the audio interface as the clock/sync in Cubase.

Jan 01, 2007 04:55 pm In your options or preferences for audio you will find a setting called Record timing master and playback timing master. Or something very similar. You will need to set them to either Audio or Internal, not sure how Cubase calls it out. This will allow the software to sync itself to the card.
Do you have the manual for the software? Otherwise use the help section in the upper section where your drop down menus are. By the way, this is where you options of preferences will be as well.

Jan 02, 2007 10:17 pm Devices ---> device set up ----> VST Multitrack ----> select ASIO driver ---> Hit control Panel, go in and change the settings, hit apply, the testing your setting screen will come up, let it test the current settings to see if it will work, when done hit okey.
