latency with sonar

i use sonar660 and i am getting a little latency with my recoding anyone know what the problem is

what driver type are you using, have you tried switching to another type, if not, try some other drivers.

As well do you mean Sonar 6? IS it the studio version or Producer edition? I can get you to the settings menu to set up your sound card and buffers in Sonar.

But as dB stated, you need to be sure you have the current drivers for the sound card you have.

This is the Sonar Studio Edition bundled with the new Cakewalk hardware...Firewire version I believe. It's really an Edirol UA25 with a different paint job.

Also the specs of your PC would be useful to know.

I see, never heard of Sonar 660 before.

You might want to check and see if Sonar used the default MME drivers. If so you need to switch to either the WDM or ASIO driver's. Not sure if the Edirol unit supplies ASIO driver's or not. I would assmue it does.

I need to look at that stuff more often. Looks like a nice set up really.
