Alright, so I've finished mixing a song in Sonar and am ready to begin mastering it, but when I brought it into wavelab to master the audio has lots of little pops and speaker farts and just unpleasant noises. Help!

i dont know how sonar operates.. but in acid, when i export a .wav of the entire track, it allows me to select the sample rate for it.

might want to give that a check and see what it tells you.

it wasnt so much of a problem going from like 44.1kHz to 96kHz.. as it was downgrading quality or switching from 16bit to 24bit.

whatever the settings i start a track in are the settings i leave it in order to avoid any chance of noise working its way in.

hopefully its something simple like this.. if not, post again and ill see what else i can think of that might be causing it.

In WaveLab go into the prefences and make sure you chose the proper sound card driver andnot "microsoft sound mapper" or whatever they call it...that could do it too...

Yes, my soundcard is selected, the delta 44, and as far as I know the sampling rates and bits and things are all the same.. and yet I still get strange noises. This doesn't happen when I open up like MP3's I've downloaded or with wav files i"ve exported from fruityloops.

Remember, when you mix all your wave file together to export them they are going to get digitaly louder. So you need to bring your level's down before you export them as a stereo wave file to WaveLab. When you mix them dowm altogether they will go into digital clipping and that is where the pop's and click's come from. So bring them down about 10 or 20 dB before you export them.
