Now i know the answer is probably yes........ But i was looking into my synth and i found that it had an all around built in eq. Should i be turning that off?

Aug 04, 2006 09:42 pm Not really neccasary to turn it off. You can however experiment with it and see what kind of sounds you can create using it. Use of the EQ before certain FX or synth parameters can drasticly alter the sound you create.
I suggest trying several differant patches with it on then off and see waht you think. I would be guessing it can really enhance some of the sounds you have in there.

Aug 05, 2006 03:58 pm Well, with my experience from my bass amp (Fender 300) the answer is maybe :) My bass amp is pretty nice but the eq sucks ***... if Creative made EQ's for sale at Walmart this one would still be worse... but it has an "on/off" switch and with it set to off I gain about 40db on the noise floor :| (or more)
For a synths an EQ is a good thing to play around with for shaping the sound... but if it hurts more than it helps there's probably a way to use an outboard/software one instead.
