I have a mono out channel on my mixer and I am using a Y splitter...quarter inch female split into 2 quarter inch male connectors going into input channels 1 and 2 of my delta 44...I am using cubase sx and I choose the stereo icon in the record window...am I still recording stereo or just a split mono signal????

sounds like you're recording the identical signal into both channels... that means you're using up twice as much harddrive space. you can send a mono signal to just Delta "In 1". Record only a mono file and you'll use half the space. You might have to center the pan on the Delta Control Panel to pan the signal equal among channels 1/2. But one thing.. why are you recording from a mono out on your mixer? -j

you might want to plug in both channels (stereo outs from mixer into Delta Ins 1/2 or 3/4) and then use software to make them mono if need be. It'll save you the trouble of plugging and unplugging cables all the time.

Based on what I saw of the MX200 it looks like there is a switch to turn the out busses from two mono to one stereo signal...

unless I am misreading...
