I was doing some Mixing about a week ago and could not get a good Guitar sound, things started to sound realy painful in my ears and mostly in my Left Ear,I thought it was do to Fatigue so I laid off the Guitars and thought I would do some other song mixing. But still the pain in my Ears.So I went to the Dr.and He said I have Allergies, take some Benadryl until the season is over.
I didn't realize Allergies would play a big part in my Mixing,I try to keep it at 85dbs when I mix,but with Allergies everything sounded F***up.

Has this happened to any of you?

I never try to mix or master if I am ill, having a head cold or sinus trouble...it always leads to crappy mixes, either cuz I am tired and lazy, or, my hearing is just messed up

Absolutely agree.

Any kind of stuffed up head or plugged ears will effect the way you hear the mix. Even a headache can cause you to become irritated while mixing, especially with content that might be heavy in the mid's and high end.
