Here's the song:

I'm unsure what/how much EQ or reverb should be on the vocals and guitar... I think I like the up-to-the-mic sound, but I'm not sure.
Any advice is welcome! :-)

May 23, 2006 04:49 pm Very smooth Mike. You got a really good sound there, the tone of the bass really suits your recording of the guitar. Moves along really nice. Vocals are very out front but not uncomfortably so. Tamborine bit moves it along at the right time. Reverb wise nothing stands out perhaps a touch dry on the vox but it depends what sound you're after. Nothing bad to say about this. good stuff

May 23, 2006 05:25 pm I like the overall song. Are you using a bass guitar or is it just a finger picked acoustic? If you I would maybe cut a little bit of the lows ever so slightly. Same goes with your vocals. And you might want to try a little bit of reverb. Experiment with different types and reverb times. Also, if thats not the sound you want, the vocals sound a little loud in the mx. Just giving some constructive critisism here but i like the tune.
May 23, 2006 05:45 pm It's just an acoutic guitar. I do want to cut some of the lows on both the vocals and the guitar, but when I do it sounds so thin... I'm not sure what I'm doing wrong.

May 24, 2006 08:59 pm Hey Mike, nice tune indeed. For cutting the low end if you feel the need to do. You might try using a parametric EQ pluggin. And use a narrow Q setting to be more selective on the amount and the area of EQ you cut.
