Questions to anyone with a Behringer Eurorack UB802 Mixer.
I am trying to get a good/loud enough sound into the mixer with out it clipping. I Can do this and get it at the 0 mark with no problem. the problem is when I try and record with that onto my computer the levels are off the chart and into the red and never leave. Even with the input on my computer set to just about nothing it is still in the red. I have lowered the line-in, input and everything else I can think to do in my computer. Am I doing something wrong?

Feb 23, 2006 07:46 pm the record level on my computer is back as far as it can go. As soon as I move it a tiny bit up it all goes into the red. I am trying to get a handle and some know how on the gain staging but I must be missing something.

Feb 23, 2006 11:07 pm What sound card are you using? You may want to check in the Windows Audio Options and see if you have the What You Hear option checked in the recording sectionof the options. If it is on then you need to uncheck it.
Other thought is you might be going in the mic input instead of the line input if it is the stock card.
