Vocal Booths

It's been a while since I've been here. Have I missed anything?

Anyhow, I was seeing what everyone's opinion for the shape of vocal booth? I've heard square / rectangle is not an ideal shape. What do you think is the best shape of a booth for recording vocals? Diamond...Pentagon...hexagon..circle?

Also, in the near future, I might switch to a similar computer as this:

www.endpcnoise.com/cgi-bin/e/tnn_p4PC.html

It's either this route, or buy extension cables for a new computer and have the CPU outside of the Vocal Booth.

Basically, what I want to do is enclose all my equipment inside of a vocal booth. Then when I record, I don't have to keep running from the engineer room to the vocal room. In order for this to work, I need my equipment to be silent so my condensor doesn't pick it up. But the shape of the vocal room is needs the sbility to give studio quality sound.

Suggestions?

Hmm... What is the point of a vocal booth, anyway?

isolation...thats the point.

Square of rectangle vocal booths are not as big of a problem as that shape with a live room. The live rooms tend to be very loud and the parallel walls make a huge problem as vocal booths don't have the same volume as live rooms.

A couple vocal booths I have seen have been rectangle and they were lined with thin, but very dense carpet. They sounded quite good.

Yep, isolation is exactly it. The vocal booths can be any shape at all as they are damped heavily and there is no bouncing of loud sounds as dB stated is common in live rooms. The mic will only pick up direct sound in an iso booth because of the damping material used.
