Hey all,
I've been using my Roland keyboard to record bass with Sonar and I'm not real happy with the samples in the keyboard. I'm wondering if there are any relatively cheap bass plugins available out there that anyone recommends? And if so, can you point me in the right direction as to how I incorporate them into Sonar/keyboard/MIDI? Is it the same as setting up and instrument definition file?
thanks for any help :)

Jan 03, 2006 05:05 pm What version of Sonar are you using? Sonar 5 comes with Dimmension synth/sampler which has some amazing bass patches. Just about anything you can think of. I believe Steinberg as well was giving away their bass synth emulator which does a fine job as well for regualr bass type sounds.

There are hundreds of great plugs there from freeware/shareware and commercial.
Indeed, including some cool bass/guitar plugs.

Jan 06, 2006 11:22 am I'm using Sonar 3 Studio. I got one from kvr a while back but it's buried somewhere in a folder somewhere on the hard drive. :( I'll go back to the site and see if I can find something cool.
As far as sound. I'm just looking for a nice rock bass tone that's not muddy. The keyboard has a great slap sample but the fretless and finger picking one's suck
Thanks for the URL guys
