Hi

I am trying to get the different inputs on the front panel that goes with the Creative Audigy 2 Platinum card to list as different devices in Adobe Audition 1.5 so that I can record to multiple tracks simultaneously with different input.

Can anyone please tell me how to do this?

Cheers

don't think that the Audigy card, even though it has the external box will do that. You have to use the creative mixer (software) on the computer to choose the input that you are bringing from the external box into the computer and you have to choose between Line input or aux input. I could be wrong but don't think you can combine the two even if you tried to choose different inputs with in Audition

What would you do to get around the problem then? would installing a second card fix it? Is there a reasonable on which would do a good job?

you might look into an E-mu card which is what Creative Labs calls their Professional models. Or look at Echo's Gina line. They are both capable of using several ins and outs. I use an Echo Gina 3 which gives me 2 ins and 6 outs plus SPDIF and Adat Lightpipe. Both of the above are good cards and if you shop around, they are actually in the same price range as the sound blaster audigy with an external box.. Echo has been around the longest of the two. There are also a host of USB and Firewire multiline cards out there, but I just like a PCI card interface. Mainly, you want to use ASIO drivers if you have them as they will give you the least amount of Latency. just google either one and you'll find lots of prices.
