I've been entering drum grooves in the drum editor, exporting the midi to an audio clip and then making the audio clip a loop.
In the drum editor, when I loop a 4 beat groove that ends with a hit on the crash symbol, the crash symbol sound carries through the beginning of the next loop. When I export this midi to an audio clip and make it a loop, the crash symbol does not echo through the beginning of the loop. It just stops in mid echo. Sounds really bad. How do I make it sound like it does when I loop the midi file?
Thanks, Pete

Sep 20, 2005 08:55 pm I'm not a Cubase user anymore. But in Sonar there is a setting when you export or create the loop that allows for the tail to not be cut off.
You might try looking for that option. I am guessing it will be in the audio options, or loop editing options.
You may find you will want to set the loop length to go over the 4 beat mark, then when you drag out or copy the loop make sure it snaps to measure and not the end of each audio clip.
Hope this helps ya out some.

Sep 22, 2005 02:04 am Make it twice as long with the crash in the middle and then edit?
Sep 22, 2005 03:57 pm I couldn't find a "tail saver" option. But I guess it wouldn't really be a "loop" if it didn't cut off on the last beat.
Not a problem. As Rigsby suggests, I can splice the groves and fills in midi, and then export the whole score.
Thanks, Pete
