Interesting problem with Nuendo 2.0

Hello everyone. I've been using Cool Edit for over 5 years now but have just decided to broaden my horizons. I got my hands on a copy of Nuendo 2.0 and decided to get familiar with it. My computer, while may not be top of the line, surpasses the recommended requirements. 1.4 Ghz, 1GB system memory, 160GB Storage, blah blah blah. I'm having a seriouse latency issue. I would record a guitar track and then try to lay down a second guitar track, but the second track will record way early for some reason. This makes the first track seem like its lagging by over a whole second. Very irritating. I tried using the built in metronome, and while I play along with the metronome accurately, when I play it back, the recorded track doesn't even come close to lining up with the metronome. I thought it was a hardware issue (assuming the program may be too demanding), but I discovered that I should have no problems considering the system requirements are rather low. I was wondering if others out there have experienced this problem or if anyone has any advice. Thanks...

You don't say at what letency you're running, and which sound card you're using. I'm guessing this is due to the ASIO latency being set incorrectly.

Not sure, though. You might want to check the manual for both the soundcard, and for Nuendo. I know Nuendo can be a tricky bugger if you don't set it right.

well, I know nothing about setting up latency and what not, but I do see that the ASIO has my soundcard under input ports listed as Sync Reference : NO. I don't know if that is the cause and if it is, I don't see on here how to change it.
