which laptop, which processor?

hey guys, im new as a member to hrcc, ive browsed it for a good while..
question is...
i'm ditching my roland vs1824 for a laptop. i run reason 2.5, and want to eventually go with sonar to record.
for my price range (1000-1200, cheaper the better on my income) i can either go with these options:

athlon 64 3200+
pentium 4 548 3.33ghz
athlon XP 3000+ 1.8gz
pentium m 1.5ghz

i know that obviously the p4 and athlon 64 are much better, but would the athlon xp do the job...
it's much more in my price range.

all these comps come with 512mb of ram, and ill soon upgrade to double that.
