Fruityloops...This is stupid, but...

With fruityloops in 'keyboard as piano' mode, is there a way of toggling between modes? The program seems to get locked in the 'wrong' mode and I cant shift it. Instead of playing notes for all keys with an instrument selected, pressing z (i.e) will play the kick, x will play the snare, c will play clap, etc. The other keys are not active. Simply - only one key is assigned out of the whole keyboard to one instrument...

Can anyone help? Does anyone know what I'm on about?
