I'm having a problem getting my Tascam US-428 usb unit to work with Music Studio 7 by Magix.

I can hear pre-recorded audo though the software, but cannot get the controls on the 428 to control the software (ie: faders, monitor, playback contols, recording buttons, etc...).

My PC has all the drivers and I tried to locate the settings & options of the software, but couldn't figure out how to enable the 428 to be the mixer/controller/audio interface.

I emailed Tascam & Magix, but doubt I'll hear anything soon.

any suggestions?

Good luck! Tascam has quite a few manuals and recommendations on their website for setting up with various software, but typically, your answer is going to have to come from Magix.

You'll need to map the midi signals from the US-428 to the software, and how exactly you get into that with Music Studio 7 I don't know, cause I haven't used it. But maybe that'll give you a place to start.

Tascam has all the specs on the midi output from the controler on their site, or at least they used to.

I'll play around with it more tonight. Maybe I'll get lucky and figure it out. :)
